Physical Therapy
The Department of Physical Therapy, located on Mercer’s Atlanta Campus, demonstrates a commitment to excellence in professional and postprofessional physical therapy education, service, scholarship, and clinical practice.
A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program is offered through an innovative, 8-semester curriculum and prepares students to be advocates for the health and wellness of individuals and society who are dedicated to patient-centered clinical excellence, lifelong professional development, and scholarly activities.
Postprofessional education is offered through four accredited residencies in orthopaedics, cardiovascular and pulmonary, neurology, and wound management, and a fellowship in orthopaedic manual physical therapy.
The onsite Mercer Physical Therapy Clinic provides one-on-one outpatient physical therapy services to our local community and engages learners throughout the Department in the delivery of exceptional patient-centered, evidence-based physical therapy.
