Solicitation of Third-Party Comments for the Department of Public Health Council on Education for Public Health Reaccreditation Review
The Department of Public Health at Mercer University is undergoing a review by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) for reaccreditation. Part of this process includes the provision of a third-party comment period, which allows anyone, including students, alumni, faculty, staff, community and practice partners, and members of the public, to share relevant information about the Doctor of Public Health Program, Master of Public Health Program, or Bachelor of Science in Public Health Program directly with CEPH.
You may submit confidential third-party comments about the Doctor of Public Health Program, Master of Public Health Program, or Bachelor of Science in Public Health Program directly to submissions@ceph.org. The deadline for submitting third-party comments to CEPH is August 14, 2026.
CEPH is an independent agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education to accredit public health programs and schools of public health.
Mercer University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award baccalaureate, masters, educational specialist, and doctorate degrees. Degree-granting institutions also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels. We offer programs in Atlanta and Macon, Georgia and online. We offer undergraduate (BSPH; Macon), graduate (MPH and DrPH; Atlanta and online), and combined (DPT/MPH, MMSc/MPH, PsyD/MPH, PharmD/MPH; Atlanta) degree programs.
The CEPH accreditation term for the Mercer University public health bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs extends until December 31, 2026.
