Dr. Kenya Crews

Welcome to Mercer University’s Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) Program! We are pleased that you are interested in the field of occupational therapy. Our inaugural class will start in August 2026, following the Program’s achievement of Candidacy Status with the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education. The OTD Program is designed to prepare students for success on the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy examination and entry-level occupational therapy practice in various settings, including acute care, community sites, long-term care, and other practice environments.

Students can expect an exceptional educational experience through an eight-semester, 113-credit-hour Program that focuses on evidence-based research, client-centered care, and leadership. Consistent with the University’s commitment to professional knowledge, the OTD Program incorporates interactive classroom activities, an engaging laboratory environment, clinical practice across the lifespan and healthcare settings, and a capstone experience. Our dedicated faculty are committed to providing students with sound knowledge and practical experience within their courses, as well as exposing them to local and national professional organizations.

We appreciate your interest in Mercer University’s OTD Program and look forward to discussing our Program with you.

Sincerely,

Kenya Crews, OTD, OTR/L, MRC
