Mission and Goals

Mission

The mission of the Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology program is to provide students with broad content knowledge in kinesiology and health as well as the technical, professional, and communication skills needed for employment in a variety of professionally-oriented careers or for advanced study in graduate or professional programs.

Program Goals

• Provide breadth of content through the broad kinesiology core courses and in related health courses, and provide depth by offering a variety of program options and upper level courses.
• Strengthen interaction with faculty through research opportunities, service-learning, and professional involvement.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure and resources that are adequate to support faculty, staff, and students, as they accomplish the mission of the kinesiology program.
