Message from the Chair

Welcome to Mercer University's Department of Public Health! This is an exciting time in the field of Public Health. We are delighted to transform students into competent, passionate professionals ready to tackle the complex and dynamic challenges of public health in neighborhoods and the populations in the United States and the world.

The Mercer Department of Public Health is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CePH) in programs offered in both Atlanta and Macon, Georgia. We offer undergraduate and graduate degrees, and combined degree programs. We also provide our faculty, students, and partners access to cutting edge research opportunities through our Center for Evaluation and Applied Research.

Public Health is a vastly growing field, and Mercer's Public Health program offers students a rewarding opportunity to help reduce health disparities and to improve the quality of life for families and communities. Mercer offers a Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH) degree, a generalist MPH degree teaching skill sets that open doors to various opportunities in the field, and combined degree programs in DPT/MPH, PharmD/MPH, and MMSc/MPH.

We appreciate your interest in our programs!
