Dr. Mark “Tony” A. Stillman

Dr. Mark A. (Tony) Stillman is Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Psychology and has served as Director of Clinical Training since January 2017.

He earned his PhD from Nova Southeastern University, completed a pre-doctoral residency in Adult Behavioral Medicine and Rehabilitation Psychology, and a post-doctoral fellowship in Primary Care Psychology.  He received his Master of Science degree from Nova Southeastern University, and his Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Florida International University.  He has over 9 years of clinical practice as a licensed psychologist.

Dr. Stillman’s current teaching responsibilities include personality assessment, health psychology and integrated primary care psychology.  His research focuses on developing innovative training models in integrated primary care, the effect of health behavior on health outcomes, and sport psychiatry and psychotherapeutic intervention with athletes. He has published and presented, both regionally and nationally, on various clinical psychology and health psychology topics.

He is an active member of the American Psychological Association (APA), the Society for Health Psychology, the Southeastern Psychological Association (SEPA), and the International Society for Sports Psychiatry.  Dr. Stillman currently serves as a member of the Society for Health Psychology’s Clinical Health Services Council, Integrated Primary Care Committee.  He is editor of the Journal of Psychology: Open Access, and an editorial board member of the International Journal of Psychology and Counseling.  Dr. Stillman was chosen as a recipient of the 2016 American Psychological Association Early Career Achievement Awards.
