E. Tyler Fredlund
Prof. Erik Tyler Fredlund is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Alabama, Master of Public Health from Mercer University, and Master of Medical Science (Physician Assistant) from Mercer University.
As a certified physician assistant, he continues to practice in emergency medicine. His clinical and educational interests include emergency medicine and health advocacy. He served as adjunct faculty in Mercer University’s Physician Assistant Program since 2023 and joined the full-time faculty in 2025.
Prior to becoming a physician assistant, he worked as the head athletic trainer at the College of Coastal Georgia, assistant athletic trainer for football at Towson University, and athletic trainer and manager for an occupational medicine clinic for Delta Technical Operations Division.
Prof. Fredlund is a member of the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants, American Academy of Physician Assistants, and Physician Assistant Education Association.
