Prof. Tasha Adams is a Clinical Associate Professor of Physician Assistant Studies and serves as Coordinator of Community Engagement in the PA Program.  She received her Master of Health Education from Middle Tennessee University, Master of Science in Medicine in Physician Assistant Studies from Trevecca Nazarene University, and Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Valdosta State University.  As a certified physician assistant, she has 20 years of clinical experience in family medicine.

Before joining Mercer University, Prof. Adams was an Associate Professor in the School of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee.  Her teaching experience includes physician assistant courses of Clinical Medicine, Physical Diagnosis, and Medical Diagnosis and Procedures.

Prof. Adams is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Physician Assistant Education Association. She was awarded the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (GMAC) Faculty Mentor of the Year in 2021 and Trevecca PA Professor of the Year in 2012 and 2013. She is an elected member of the Pi Alpha Physician Assistant Honor Society.
