Dr. Sisi Chen
Dr. Sisi Chen is an Assistant Professor of Kinesiology in the Department of Exercise Science in the College of Health Professions. She received her PhD in Kinesiology from Michigan State University, MS in Physical Education and Sport Studies from University of Macau, and BS in Kinesiology from Beijing Sport University.
Dr. Chen’s teaching experience includes test and measurement, strength and conditioning, biomechanics in sport and exercise, exercise leadership, and computer application in health and human performance. Her research interests focus on physical activity and public health. Her most recent project examined the association between meeting physical activity guidelines (i.e., aerobic activity, muscle-strengthening activity) and health-related quality of life among older adults. She is also an ACSM/NPAS certified physical activity in public health specialist.
