Lydia Lu
Lydia Lu is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies at Mercer University College of Health Professions. She joined the PA faculty in 2025.
Prof. Lu received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Wheaton College, Master of Public Health from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Master of Medical Science (Physician Assistant) from Emory University.
As a certified physician assistant, Prof. Lu has 15+ years of clinical experience working in emergency medicine, pediatric hospital medicine, and pediatric infectious diseases. Her additional experience includes work with the CDC Global HIV Program, teaching at the University of Hong Kong, and participating in international humanitarian aid responses.
Prof. Lu’s research interests include global maternal and child health, health equity, stewardship and sustainability.
