Dr. Lisa Fraher
Dr. Lisa Fraher is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Mercer University and her Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Emory University. She is currently completing her PhD in Physical Therapy at Texas Woman’s University. Dr. Fraher is a board-certified clinical specialist in pediatric physical therapy and with nearly ten years of clinical experience practicing in pediatric home-health, school-based, and aquatic settings.
She has served as adjunct faculty in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Mercer University since 2019, teaching the pediatric content and serving as a cohort leader in pediatric service-learning. Her research focuses on disability bias and health inequities across the lifespan, community participation for children with disabilities, and disability attitudes in healthcare. She is an active member of American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), APTA Academy of Pediatric Physical Therapy, and APTA Georgia.
