Dr. Kenya Crews
Dr. Kenya Crews is Clinical Associate Professor and Director of the Doctor of Occupational Therapy Program in the College of Health Professions at Mercer University. She earned her Doctor of Occupational Therapy from George Washington University, Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from Alabama State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Alabama State University. She has been certified as an Occupational Therapist for 20 years practicing in a variety of settings from Alabama to New York. Prior to coming to Mercer, Dr. Crews served as Program Director of the Doctor of Occupational Therapy program at Alabama State University.
Dr. Crews’ research interests include to healthcare awareness and mental health among poor populations. She has presented locally and nationally and is the past-chair of the Alabama Board of Occupational Therapy. She is a member of Alabama Occupational Therapy Association, American Occupational Therapy Association, Georgia Occupational Therapy Association, and serves on the board of directors for Montgomery Public School Health Science Academy.
