Clinical Assistant Professor

Dr. Damian Bedoya is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Physician Assistant Studies.  He joined Mercer University in 2017.

Dr. Bedoya earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine and completed his residency training in Emergency Medicine at Wright State University, Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. He is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and a Fellow of the College of Emergency Physicians.

He currently practices in Georgia and is a member of the America College of Emergency Physicians.  His academic interests include medical decision making, international medicine, rural medicine, and medical education. He has practiced medicine in several countries including New Zealand and Guam. Dr. Bedoya is a member of the Georgia Association of Latino Elected Officials where he has served as a facilitator in their leadership seminars over the last ten years.
