Dr. Nneka Morris Alexander is Clinical Assistant Professor of Clinical Medical Psychology. She completed her graduate training at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and her clinical internship at the University of Florida, both APA-accredited programs. Prior to joining the faculty at Mercer University, she was a postdoctoral fellow at Emory University/Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, where she provided clinical services to children and adolescents who had received solid organ transplants.
Dr. Morris Alexander is also a licensed clinical psychologist who continues to serve as a Pediatric Psychologist at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta providing clinical services to children with cancer and blood disorders. Her research interests involve examining parenting and emotion regulation in children with health conditions. Dr. Morris Alexander has published her research in peer-reviewed journals, as well as presented at various national conferences. She is an active member of the Society of Pediatric Psychology (Division 54 of the American Psychological Association).
